We are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Wholesale Business Development Manager to elevate our wholesale operations by forging enduring client relationships and driving sales with a strategic, savvy approach.

In this role, you will be part of the leading speciality coffee roasters in the Cotswolds, recognised as pioneers in our local market.

Reporting directly to the business directors, you will assume both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, focusing on cultivating new trading relationships with small to medium-sized wholesale accounts, including cafes, restaurants, delis, and hotels.

You will handle inbound enquiries and proactively develop your own pipeline, employing innovative methods to enhance the customer experience and expand our existing customer portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, driven self-starter, passionate about exceeding monthly targets while delivering unparalleled service. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, as you will engage regularly with clients both over the phone and in person, relying on your instincts to make informed decisions.

Your Responsibilities

Handling and finalising all incoming enquiries from the company website and calls directed to the roastery.

Managing existing small-to-medium wholesale customers by providing exceptional support, consistently exceeding expectations to ensure complete satisfaction with our services.

Overseeing your direct sales pipeline by actively generating leads through the identification of new business opportunities. This involves recognising newly-established ventures and pursuing supply partnerships with existing cafes, restaurants, delis, and hotels.

Cultivating and managing your own accounts to benefit both the clients and Ue Coffee Roasters.

Skills & Experience That We're Looking For

Proven expertise in initiating and nurturing relationships from the ground up, whether through cold calls or initial introductions.

A proactive and determined individual who trusts their instincts when making decisions. Naturally adept at building instant rapport and thinking quickly to close deals and make sound judgements.

A relentless commitment to excellence—our product is exceptional and demands a sales professional dedicated to delivering superior service and a quality-focused approach.

Familiarity with the coffee or specialty food and beverage industry is essential to understand client needs and craft customised proposals.

Experience or knowledge in specialty coffee and its market is crucial.

A genuine passion for exquisite coffee, coupled with a willingness to continuously learn and hone your skills, is key to excelling in this role. Previous experience in a sales-driven position is required.
