Rocket Espresso Mozzafiato Cronometro Type V
The Rocket Espresso Mozzafiato Cronometro V features heat exchanger PID temperature control technology.
Now with digital shot timer allowing the user to better optimise extraction time. Temperature control is optimised through a PID controller drawing on 4 different signal parameters to ensure stability and optimum results in the cup.
An adjustable temperature display allows the user to select individual brewing temperatures for different coffee types and roast styles.
The Mozzafiato Cronometro V machine introduces users to the Rocket Espresso movement for better espresso in the home without compromise.
Handmade in Milan, these E61 manual lever machines combine stylish minimalist design and great temperature stability for the perfect espresso.
Rocket has incorporated all of its great aesthetic elements, such as the tapered, height adjustable feet, and easy-grip gear steam and hot water knobs with the iconic “R” stamped on the steam side.
As a heat exchange machine, the Mozzafiato can brew and steam simultaneously, and, its integrated PID controller keeps the temperature stable and can be programmed across four settings to accommodate any roast. Helping with the temperature stability is the E61 group, which syphons water from the boiler, through the group, and back.
Rocket’s redesigned E61 group head, which has a dual pre-infusion system consisting of a static chamber and mechanical working piston, aids in fully saturating the grounds, while the PID keeps the temperature consistent, both elements combining to ensure an excellent extraction each shot you brew. Rocket was one of the first manufacturers to incorporate a PID in a HX machine, a truly innovative choice which has inspired many others to do the same.
PID Temperature Controller
Generally, heat exchange machines require a cooling flush after steaming or before brewing a shot if the machine has been sitting; however, by integrating a PID to regulate the temperature, Rocket removes the need for a cooling flush. The PID temperature controller uses 4 signal parameters to ensure the best results in the cup.
Reimagined E61 Brew Group
In a traditional E61 brew group, hot water is constantly circulated between the boiler and brew-group to ensure proper brewing temperature. Rocket incorporates a dual pre-infusion system into their E61, which consists of a chamber and mechanical working piston, to aid the extraction and ensure the grounds are fully saturated upon brewing.
Heavy-Duty Boiler
At the heart of the Mozzafiato Type V is its 1.8 liter copper boiler, equipped with a 1200 watt heating element. The copper design shows improved heat retention and temperature stability, resulting in greater energy efficiency. Passive heat from the boiler also heats the removable cup warmer on the top of the Mozzafiato Type V.
No-Burn Stainless Steel Steam Wand
Rocket Espresso’s patented cool-touch technology ensures that the steam wand is safe to use, since only the nozzle gets hot. The heavy-duty wand has a two-hole tip and is engaged with a large ergonomic control knob at the top of the wand. Below the steam wand is the steam pressure gauge; the machine is at steaming pressure when the gauge measures around 1 bar.
