About this coffee;
In the Cajamarca region of Northern Peru the growing conditions provide great potential for the production of outstanding coffee. These same excellent growing conditions also create one of the main challenges faced here which is one of location. Following harvest the farmers need to transport their produce in order to sell, but many farms in this region are up to 8 hours away from the nearest town. One of our importers is developing micro-buying stations nearer to these communities to help the farmers sell their excellent coffee and continue to focus on continually improving their quality.
Growing high on the steep slopes of the Andes, this coffee is wonderfully sweet with chocolate and plum notes that are typical of coffee of these varieties from this region. We expect this to be a coffee that everyone will enjoy as it exhibits a rich body with complexity and sweetness.
