About this coffee; The Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia is famous with coffee lovers for producing outstanding and distinctive coffees. The region benefits from consistent and plentiful rains, high altitudes and an abundance of experience, knowledge and skill in the local farmers. The wild coffee here grows in the shade of larger trees which helps protect the coffee plants from the harshness of direct sunlight. This also encourages better plant diversity and enhances the fertility of the soil.
Contributed by up to 650 farmers, the cherries were picked at peak ripeness and sorted by hand to ensure strict quality control. Dried in the sun, turned regularly to ensure even drying and covered at night to keep away moisture, this coffee has been treated with the utmost care from harvest to export.
We have roasted this coffee to highlight the best characteristics that naturally occur in Yirgacheffe coffees. Enjoy the sweet dried stone fruits and beautiful all rounded honey mouth feel making this a unique and refined coffee.
