Hacienda San Ignacio is located in Palmichal, Acosta. It is a rural community, where coffee is the main commercial activity.

Sitting at an altitude far above 1000 masl, the height has a direct influence on the quality of the coffee. Known for specialty production, the coffees from Hacienda San Ignacio are sweet and fruity, with chocolate notes.

57% of the total area of Hacienda San Ignacio is dedicated to the protection of forests. The coffee growing areas are separated by large forests that maintain biological corridors. For 7years, the farm has been part of the forest protection program of FONAFIFO-MINAE, which ECOM is committed to protecting more than 156 hectares of forest.

This Coffee is roasted for Filter and Espresso brewing methods.

Espresso: 1:2 coffee to water, extracted in 28 – 32 seconds
Filter: 60-65g coffee per litre of water, brewed for 3-4 mins

Roast Days

We roast and despatch Monday to Friday. All orders placed after 10am on Friday will be roasted and despatched the following Monday.
