About this coffee;
The ASOPEP cooperative was started in 2013 with a mission to create opportunities for its members within the town of Planadas and allow them to design their own farm conservation model so they can guarantee resources for future generations. They have a strong focus on producing quality coffee and the farms utilise practices that have a low environmental impact.
The co-op is made up of 167 coffee farming families who are almost all certified as organic producers. They have weekly training sessions at the co-op’s lab to help the farming families improve their skills, with a particular focus on how to taste their coffees. This attention to detail and desire to continually improve has led to delicious coffees such as this high altitude washed lot.
