About this coffee;

With over 30 years of coffee growing experience, Mr Bernardes operates his farm with his wife and two sons. Their small-scale production allows them to focus on the quality of the coffee from the careful handpicking of the ripest cherries through to the regular turning of the coffee as it dries in its skin and pulp. Once the coffee has dried to its optimum moisture content they are rested for one month before being hulled, graded and bagged.

The farm is located in the Minas Gerais region which has some of the highest elevations amongst Brazil’s coffee growing regions. The cooler climate at this altitude allows for slower cherry development giving this coffee its mild but distinct acidity.

Brew Recipe

Espresso: 1:2 coffee to water, extracted in 28 – 32 seconds
Filter: 60-65g coffee per litre of water, brewed for 3-4 mins

This coffee may be rested prior to dispatch

Roast Days

We roast and despatch Monday to Friday. All orders placed after 10am on Friday will be roasted and despatched the following Monday.
